The best location of the asset tag is a balance between a fairly unremarkable place, in order to prevent damage, and also a convenient place where you can easily see the tags and barcodes. Most common places include OEM's nameplate, the bottom edge of a table or chair, the side of the computer monitor. When using Asset Labels on mobile phones (cell phones) ensure you are using the correct label material as oils in humans skin may wear the print away from the label. To prevent this happening use a clear over-laminate, laminated labels or photo anodised aluminium. If you are applying asset labels to items that require regular cleaning with mild solvents it is strongly recommended to you use over-laminate labels or photo anodised aluminium foil or plates.
